Model T Simulator
(Seeing the route from a different perspective)
Running trains on the L&PS is a lot of fun, but what if you could see the route from a different perspective. I have created a DRIVABLE Model T for the L&PS. You can drive the Model T along a fixed route through London, passing other cars and encountering trains along the way.
| This is just a temporary cab view to prove the
concept. A more detailed car model is under construction
including a proper cab, or should I say 'front seat',
view. The Model T is based on the MSTS Diesel Locomotive physics. It has a two speed manual transmission, accellerator and brakes. Of course it sounds like a Model T complete with an AHOOGA horn courtesy of Chuck Zeiler. |

| Here it passes a train standing at the station on
Bathurst St. The Model T has working headlights. |

| There's plenty of traffic to dodge. Here the Model T passes a pickup truck ( Car Spawner generated ) and a passenger train bound for the London station. | ![]() |
| Continuing east, the Model T passes the Bathurst St. yard. | ![]() |
| The route turns north up Burwell St. and encounters a CN freight. The crossing gates are down. | ![]() |
| Here's another view. Sometimes these waits provide a good train watching opportunity. | ![]() |
| It looks like we will be here for a while. | ![]() |
| The Model T's predefined route is shown here in
green. It travels east along Bathurst, North up Burwell
across the CN tracks to York, East again to Maitland.
Then south on Maitland, crossing the CN tracks again, the
L&PS tracks and the Hamilton Streetcar tracks.
Eventually it turns east on South St, again crossing the
L&PS main to Adelaide. Turning south on Adelaide, it
passes through the McClary complex stopping at the Thames
river. Of course, the car is just a Model T shaped diesel locomotive and the route is defined by special track sections laid along under the road. Its a 15 minute drive with lots of interesting scenery along the way Watch for it in the next route update! |
